Easy Oyster Mushroom Fry | Oyster Mushroom Recipe | Vegan Fried Chicken (Gluten free, No deep fry)

Chewy to bite, meaty in texture, oyster mushrooms have a delicate earthy flavor that goes well with most recipes as they soak up any flavors added to them. Low in calories with a variety of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, oyster mushrooms are a great addition to diet. Oysters are my favorite and when I experimented this fry recipe, it became my hot favorite. Prepare these super easy oyster mushroom fry and you would want to eat them again and again.

Ingredients

  • Oyster Mushrooms – 15 large to medium pcs, roughly 1 cup

  • Gram flour ( Chickpea flour ) – 3 Tbsp

  • Curry powder – 2 tsp ( Ready made curry powder of any brand )

  • Chilli powder – 1/2 tsp ( optional )

  • Salt – 1/4 tsp

  • Water

  • Coconut oil to fry

Directions

  • In a mixing bowl, add 3 Tbsp Chickpea flour, 2 tsp curry powder, 1/4 tsp salt and mix well. You can also add chilli powder if you need more spice. Add very little water and make a fine paste. This is our marinade.
  • To the above marinade add about 1 cup washed oyster mushrooms and coat well. Allow it to marinate for about 20 to 30 mins.
  • Pan fry the marinated oyster mushrooms on a fry pan on both sides drizzling some oil. Fry them until they turn crisp from outside.
  • Serve hot and enjoy! You can eat them just like that or savor them with a dipping sauce of your choice.
