Vegan Ferrero Rocher / Hazelnut Truffles (Gluten free, Refined sugar free)

Ever wondered how easy it is to make ferrero rocher truffles at home? Never did I ! And not until I stumbled across a blog that made vegan ferrero rocher truffles that looked absolutely irresistible! That’s when I decided I’ll make them for real to know how it’s done. And to my absolute surprise they turned out just so good that I had no control on how much I ate. And by the way when the dessert is made with clean healthy ingredients who doesn’t want to indulge? Anything chocolaty is something to die for, at least to me! These vegan homemade ferrero rocher truffles are absolute classic and taste just divine and are a must to try at home. What more, they are gluten free, refined sugar free and are made with cleanest of ingredients which you can enjoy guilt free! They are super easy and simple to make and taste just as good as commercial ferrero rocher and infact even much healthier than them.

Vegan Ferrero Rocher / Hazelnut Truffles

Ingredients for ferrero rocher :<br>

  • Hazelnuts – ¾ cup + 15 to 18 whole nuts, roasted

  • Chopped hazelnuts – 3 Tbsp 

  • Peanut butter – ¼ cup (Nut/seed butter of your choice) 

  • Cocoa powder – 2 Tbsp

  • Palm jaggery powder – 2 Tbsp (Any sweetener of your

  • Coconut oil – 1 Tbsp 

  • Vanilla extract – 1 ½ tsp 

  • Pinch of salt 

  • Ingredients for Chocolate topping:
  • Dairy free chocolate chips – 1/3 – 1/2 cup

  • Coconut oil – 1 tsp 


  • In a blender jar, add 3/4 cup roasted hazelnuts and coarse grind them. Now to the same jar add 1/4 cup peanut butter, 2 Tbsp cocoa powder, 2 Tbsp Palm jaggery powder, 1 Tbsp coconut oil, 1/8 tsp salt, 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract and blend until the mixture holds together and be slightly sticky. This is our ferrero rocher mixture.
  • Assemble 15 to 18 whole roasted hazel nuts. Roll the ferrero rocher mixture into a ball placing the hazel nut in the centre.
  • Now take 3 Tbsp chopped or coarsely crushed hazel nuts in a bowl and roll the balls in it.
  • Melt 1/3 to 1/2 cup chocolate chips or vegan chocolate with 1 tsp oil. Dip the balls in melted chocolate.
  • Place the ferrero rocher balls in freezer to firm up for 20 mins.
  • Remove from freezer when set and indulge!
